- 500g all-purpose flour
- 300ml warm water or milk (bath water warm, not lukewarm)
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg
- Turn on the oven and set it on 200 degrees celcius.
- Mix everything togheter, making sure it is well combined, no need to knead too much.
- Let stand for 30 mintues to 1 hour in a warm place, until it looks a bit puffy
- Shape into balls or a little loaf
- Let stand for 20 minutes
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the bread looks golden brown. It should
sound hollow when you knock the bottom part.
- Let stand for at least 15 mintues after taking it out the oven.
Cocoa Brownies
- 140g butter
- 250g sugar
- 65g cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt if using unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 65g all-purpose flour
- 75g walnuts, pecans or other nuts
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Add Cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Make sure its not very hot before adding eggs, one by one.
- Fold in flour and finally add nuts.
- Put in a 20cm x 20cm square baking tin and bake for around 30 minutes. Start checking at the 20 minute mark unitl a skewer comes out slightly moist.
